FAQ 1. What is the difference between an Old European Cut and an Old Miner?
In this pic, the top row is of Old Euros, the bottom row is Old Miners. An Old Euro is generally round, and an Old Miner is more of a cushion shape. Part of what I love about antique stones is that they weren’t cut to an “ideal cut”, rather the goal was to preserve the weight of the rough, and to make an aesthetically appealing stone. Each one is unique, and an expression of the eye of the stonecutter. Ah, variety- the spice of life!
